Why Dry Brush?
The lymphatic system plays a critical role in the body’s immune system. The lymphatic system is comprised of the organs, lymph nodes, ducts and vessels that transport lymph (a colorless fluid containing white blood cells) throughout the body. As many of these lymph vessels run just below the surface of the skin it is believed that dry brushing the skin regularly can to stimulate this normal lymph flow, and help the body detoxify itself naturally.
Dry brushing increases circulation and can be beneficial for complexion as well as cellulite.
In addition to exfoliating the skin, the process of dry brushing also has the effect of clearing oil, dirt and residue from the pores.
To help you get the most out of your dry brushing experience, this dry brush set by Essential Living includes three different brushes.
- the soft bristle brush is a little easier on the skin and a good starting brush if you are a beginner dry brusher. It is still firm enough to stimulate the lymph system, however. Each brush head is removable from the brush handle, and can be swapped for the #2 firm bristle brush.
- the firm bristle brush is perfect for more experienced dry brushers. Like the #1 soft bristle head, the #2 firm brush is made from all natural boar bristles. This firmer head will deeply exfoliate the skin.
- the facial brush is made to fit easily in the palm of your hand, and has very soft bristles meant specifically for use on the face.
